Natsu (b. 1976 in Japan) lives and works in New York. Since middle school, she studied at Joshibi University of Art and Design, Tokyo and received her BFA. She has been an artist in residence at the Swing Space Residency, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC), NY; and Emerge8 Program, Aljira, a Center for Contemporary Art, Newark, NJ; and LES Studio Program, Artists Alliance Inc (AAI), NY.
Natsu has had solo exhibitions at The Hammond Museum, North Salem, NY (Art reviewed in "Japanese Inspired And Nature Infused" by William Zimmer, The New York Times) and Finlandia University Gallery, Finnish American Heritage Center, Hancock, MI.
Site specific installations include Kirsha Kaechele Project, New Orleans, LA (Art review by Interview, Art Voices); Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park, NY; Brooklyn Bridge Park; and Black and White Project Space, New York, NY.
Commissioned works at Starbucks Coffee Japan, Tokyo, Japan; Mikimoto, Tokyo, Japan; and COMME des GARÇONS Guerrilla Store, Hong Kong.
